Moon Over the Ambassador Bridge
The Ambassador Bridge connects Windsor and Detroit. (Click image to view larger.) I took this last night, and no, I did NOT add the moon, it was really there just as you see it! The photo was taken from the very tip of Belle Isle. Windsor is on the left and Detroit on the right. I got more of Windsor than Detroit because I wanted to get the moon in, but I was IN Detroit when I took it. I had a wonderful assistant, Biker Buddy, who carried the tripod and helped me get everything set up just right. We had to bring a small tripod, because we rode there on our bikes. I took a lot more pictures and am eager to share them with you! YAY!

Oh, Mary, what a gorgeous shot! I love it. Can't wait to see the others! I have to get myself a tripod, keep forgetting...
ReplyDeleteThis is great! You know you need to blow this up and frame it or print on canvas, right? It's very pretty.

suburb photo. The moon just adds to it all.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and the moon makes it perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Fenix, Joy, Slinger, and Dick for your kind comments!
ReplyDeletefenix, a tripod is a great investment, but barring one, there is often a picnic table, wall, fencepost, windowsill, highway barrier or other object you can set the camera on and use the self timer.
What a snazzy shot!
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot!!
ReplyDeleteMy photos of the moon never really turn out...usually just a big blob in the sky for me.
Thanks so much Erin and North Bay! :-D
ReplyDeleteThe best moon shots are with the sky still fairly bright in the evening so that the contrast isn't so high or the moon will be over-exposed.
