The Belle Isle Casino lit at night, Casino reflections in a puddle--we've had LOTS of rain in the past few days, Casino reflections with a bench, freighter passing on the Detroit River as seen from the casino. Cool shots. I think it looks great when "deserted" though I hate to say that about any building. Loved the piano recital shots too (coming from old band geeks).
ReplyDeleteThanks, R&R. WOW! A comment today, hurray, you rock!
ReplyDeletei like the building .it's interesting and it doesn't really look like a casino .
ReplyDeleteIt's not a casino in the modern sense and I don't think any gambles there.
ReplyDeleteThanks ro pumpkin!
Fantastic looking building, what was it before it became a casino?

I love the reflection shots, especially the third! Maybe because it's more personal. Great 'building' photograph too, it's very grand looking ... :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflections!

Happiest holidays and a very good 2008 to you and yours, Mary!
Thanks so much Curly, Anonymous, Fenix. Happy Holidays to you.
ReplyDeleteI believe the Casino was built to be a "Casino" at a time when buildings were made more nicely than they are now. But I will try to find out.
Have a great trip Fenix.
