Spring evening at Pier Park
Reading the paper at the Pier Park beach, first warm evening, unknown man. Gullls, redwings, long view of Grosse Pointe Yatch Club at night. We saw our first sailboats, the freighters are out on the lake, motorboats, kayaks. Must be spring.
You captured the city lights and reflections so beautifully. I've never had that opportunity. Now those redwings: the first one, yes, I recognize it (they are my favorite birds). But the 2nd . . . it seems so big, and it seems to have a white breast? Or is that the lighting?
Thanks Anonymous, Andree and Jilly. I just missed a shot of some little kids playing on the beach--for the first time this year. ANd missed the lovely sailboats, too.
It was really windy so the birds look a little weird. I should have cropped them closer, I guess. But yeah, they were both redwings. The light is a little odd.
Of course love the birdies! I'm flying away for a week but Blogger Draft will continue to post on BirdAnonymous. See you when I return!

ReplyDeleteThe man in the first photo has it right! Lovely set of photos. The lights in the last one are fabulous.
