gorgeous, but I am still pissed they got rid of the elephants, then again I am sure the elephants are better off.

What happened to the deer!?! There used be white ones!
They rounded them all up, kept a coup in cages at the new Nature Zoo, and sold the rest to a place in Royal Oak that apparently EATS them (serves them in a restaurant.) No more free deer on Belle Isle.
If you click on Belle Isle in the labels in the side bar and scroll down, you can see some pictures of the deer and read a little about their fate.
