What looks like a line of rocks is the shore of Lake St. Clair along Lakeshore Drive, as viewed from Pier Park. Those are NOT rocks. They are clumps of dead algae and seaweed and detritis washed up on shore. To the left is the lake, to the right is the beach, if you want to be that kind. The straight angular shadow in the background is from the lakewall a the edge of the highway. (Warning: I am going to have to blog less and comment less as I have conflicts!)
Great shot. It drew me in at the portal when I couldn't figure out what I was looking at. Thanks for the explanation.
ReplyDeleteNice picture, I thought they were rocks but you've explained.
ReplyDeleteThanks folks! :-D
ReplyDeleteI really like this photo, how the perspective and scale trick you into thinking it's all kinds of things it's not. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteYes, they look bigger than they are. I took it with a long lens.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS! :-D
