Looks like a nice church. United Methodist from the sign. Hope they stay and work in the neighborhood...
It's a really pretty church, but it's not in my neighborhood (though not too far away), so I don't know much about the congregation and their work.
I do hope they're doing something to help the community. The church looks like a fortress in an embattled neighborhood.
Hope they survive.
Suffering sounds a bit like an understatement.
I'm trying not to be too rude, as real people live there. But it is in bad shape.
