The Ice Palace
At Belle Isle, They pile up Christmas trees and fun water over them to form an Ice Palace--the kids (and adults) love to visit it--sometimes there are caves inside it. Sorry the icture didn't come out that well.
Looks wonderful to me, Mary! What a cool ida. I wonder why no one has thought about doing that hee...or maybe they have and I just don't know about it.
Lovely photo even if I don't approve of title of this post and I'll tell you why. There is a ice show here in Ontario once yearly that I swear serves as temple to the god of winter for what else would explain the over long frost that hangs in the air the weeks following this bit of madness. Very Warm regards, Simone.
Why not? I like it, and this strange idea is spectacular and harmless.

ReplyDeleteIt really is very pretty and fun and draws a lot of visitors, even hough it's a simple concept.

ReplyDeleteVery Warm regards,
Simone.
This reminds me of some movie - I think it was a James Bond thing. The guy is pretty cool if you'll pardon the expression!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful photo of a palace with a king in it :-)))
ReplyDeletedont worry, to me this is perfect, i love the blue color on the ice. I wish i could visit this palace!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! And...freezing! Brrr!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your very kind comments.
ReplyDeleteThe ice palace (They call it that here) is usually very pretty--but in thaw it can be really ugly.
Some people call it another name with a similar sound but a much rider connotation, because of it's overall shape.
Hi Mary
ReplyDeleteA long time ago since I was here.
Well now, that is really winter, wonderful, it must be very cold.
We somehow fell out of touch!
ReplyDeleteI was glad to see you again.
