Skywatch Friday: Sunset at Belle Isle
Two sunsets from Belle Isle and a sky from Detroit Metrobeach. And my latest painting, which is an alley in Piran, Slovenia. The "clouds" in the Belle Isle shot were all smoke.
I smoked half a cigarette nce, Jacob, or maybe a quarter of one--an it tasted bad and I never smoked another. But our city and our country smoke too much. :-(
Very pretty painting, Mary. The sun in the photos seems to warm up the pond...
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are so joyous and colorful - no morose musings for you. Love the trees in the first photo - all the photos are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos. It's hard to decide which I like best. And your painting, WOW. Now that says spring, sunshine, warmth and fun.
ReplyDeleteI thought you quit smoking! ;-))
ReplyDeleteI like both the sunsets and the city shot, but I like your painting the best; it is so warm and joyful!
Thank you all! I am deep into working on the Fellowship application now, so I am way behind, staying up past midnight to catch up a little.
ReplyDeleteNeed to go to bed though.
Thanks for your kindness. Not all my art is cheery, though!!!

ReplyDeleteI love that first shot, and I love your painting...which do I like best? It is too hard to choose.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rose! :-D
ReplyDeleteMary, these are great photos (of course). But I LOVE your painting. It is exquisite!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andree. I consider myself a beginner, but I'm working at it!!!! Whenever I can. Trying to learn.
