This is a wonderful place to visit, walk, explore. The house and grounds are huge and impressive and attractive. You can also see how our spring is progressing.
Here is one of my recent paintings, a sketch of a magnolia tree:

The magnolias are in full flower in Detroit, but going by soon. We stopped to enjoy Sam and Joan's magnolias when we visited them yesterday and I was inspired to paint them.
The photos are breath-taking. What a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteYour paintings looks so real, I first thought it was a photo also. Great work.

Thoughts in Progress
Not much in that house not to like.
ReplyDeleteThe house is fabulous, but I wouldn't want to have to keep it up without a passel of servants.
ReplyDeleteThe painting is a sketch in a sketchbook, you can ee the edges of the other pages.
THANK YOU BOTH!
Beautiful painting. It looks like Japanese art.
ReplyDeleteThe building is great. American houses can be so beautiful!
The house is modeled after an English Cotswald "cottage".
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie! ;-D
ReplyDeleteThat house looks more like a castle than anything. I wonder what its square footage is?
ReplyDeleteLove you painting...so light and airy - like a refreshing, cool drink!
The magnolia sketch is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIf you're rich, like the Edsel Fords, you too can live like that.
Beautiful photos.
I'm not, so I can't.
