Ice on Lake St. Clair
With alternate freezing and thawing, high winds, rain, snow, more freezing, the ice on Lake St. Clair is varied, broken, patchy and interesting. This ice fisherman caught about 6 small perch while we were there, three of them big enough for dinner.
I guess the ice was about 6 inches thick, at least in some places. But I Wasn't standing on it. I saw some parents take their kids out on it, and there thin spots,; it made me nervousn!
wow these are amazing pictures - I didn't realise Detroit got so cold!
ReplyDeleteThanks Hyde! If you are looking for my ABC Wednesday post, it's at No Polar.
ReplyDeleteGoes not only below freezing, but sometimes well below zero in Detroit, though it's mostly been a little warmer than usual this year.

ReplyDeleteThat doesn't look like ice I'd want to be standing on.
