Abandoned Detroit VI
Many of the abandoned houses in Detroit get burned. Whether to collect insurance or just pure vandalism, I don't know. This is another on Canyon near Balduck Park. I walk by this house nearly every day.
Good God, that must be depressing! Time had an article (which I skimmed) about the Detroit school super who thinks he's got a shot at turning the school system around.
The abandoned buildings look in good shape, except for this one. I guess people fled looking for jobs.
ReplyDeleteLove the self love portrait - how can one tell it's unfinished? Most of Picasso looks unfinished to me.
That's too bad.....
ReplyDeleteI hope they went somewhere safe and with jobs--I worry about them.
ReplyDeleteSure makes you feel bad looking at them.

ReplyDeleteI hope he's right!
Makes me sad worrying about the PEOPLE!
