It was a hazy winter afternoon, low light. I thought the skyline looked a bit romantic in its gloom.

Uncle Bob. Uncle Bob is a hundred years od. He was independent, mobile and lucid but fell, broke his hip, suffered a mild stroke and is now in the nursing home and a bit confused.

Shipping Channel

This ship is "parked" in the shipping channel in the Detroit River between Canada/Windsor and Detroit/USA. It may be parked there because the channel narrows and perhaps another boat is coming. Taken from Belle Isle looking toward the Ambassador Bridge.

This was last night just past sunset. The Detroit River was full of
icebergs, it was really neat.

HAVE A HAPPY EASTER--I'm going to be headed over to my Mother-in Law's
for dinner shortly, so won't be able to comment etc.

1. I am wearing an apron. I almost always wear an apron when I cook.
2. I am making macaroni and cheese and chocolate tapioca pudding, both of which I'm allergic to. That's because I often don't cook foods I'm allergic to so Biker Buddy misses them.
3. I just got a suspension order for my car registration and plates even though I turned in ALL the appropriate papers AND received back a form saying they had all been received. They are threatening to revoke or suspend my driver's license which is recipricol to my new state EVEN THOUGH I sent them what they requested and received a receipt for it. I am wasting 41 cents to send them back their stupid receipt.
   
4. Even good cooks mess up sometimes and I am no exception.
5. Though I usually eat only whole grains, today I am eating white elbows from the macaroni and cheese for Biker Buddy. YUM!
6. Murphy and I have a lifelong, very close, annoying relationship.
7. I still have the skin of the hamster I skinned when I was a kid. (It died first.)
8. When I was 17, my parent let me go out with a man who was 32.

Belle Isle Bridge and Detroit at Sunset

The buildings in Detroit are reflecting the setting sun in their windows. The Detroit River flows around Belle Isle. On one side is Detroit and the USA and on the other, Windsor and Canada. The green in the foreground is the point of Belle Isle and part of Detroit.

I have also posted a new autumn leaf, a red sugar maple leaf. When leaves turn red and fall, can snow be far behind? Aiee!
