BFF award

Along Nashua Creek

Nashua Creek flows through the center of Belle Isle, a large Detroit City Park.

By the way, if you were here a couple days ago and see the same bridge and wonder why it looks different, different day, different lighting, different time of day and different treatment. Same spot, only from the other side of the creek.

Heidelberg Project

A little break from Halloween decorations and fall leaves. The
Heidelberg Project is located on Heidelberg Street in Detroit, not far
from Belle Isle or Downtown.

We had our first frost and leaves are raining down like snow, so the lovely color we've been having may soon be gone. I love this bridge at Belle Isle. If you are new to this blog, Belle Isle is a Detroit City Park. Click images to view larger.

The leaaves were falling like rain today, needed a video camera to capture it!

MoreHoliday Decorations

The skulls had been stuck in the ground, but someone ripped them out.
I thought they actually looked better that way. They neighborhood is
getting more and more decorated. Halloween is a big thing here.

"Smell my Feet"

Firgive me if it sounds rude, but around here, the children say,

"Trick or Treat
"Smell my feet
"Give me something
"good to eat."

At the Village Market, they're a little more polite, but that's what they mean.

A tree on our street

Out the back window, mostly green though there are a few trees who've lost all their leaves.

Out the front window, this! (I ortonized it--a technique for soft focus).
