Museum of African American History and Vintage Cars

The African American History Museum is a very interesting building. This is down in the cultural District, near the art museum and the Scarab Club.

We've been invited, as Detroit Bloggers, to ride in the Woodward Dream Cruise in the 100-car Parade celebrating 100 years of GM cars. We'll hopefully be riding in a VINTAGE car. YAY! We have to get up early and be there at 6 Am in oder to take the shuttle bus from Royal Oak to the Parade start.

We are leaving TOMORROW for Upstate NY, will return maybe Aug 10. I may or may not be able to post while I am away.

I have a new small painting called The Coming Storm posted here. And here is my Photo Friday post for beauty, from Greenfield Village.

Thanks, it's a 7-hour drive across Canada if all goes well, AND BB is till under the car, which is currently undrivable.

When we get there, we're going to bury my folks.

And visit with brothers, children, relatives, friends.

I MAY be able to get on-line. (or not?)

Have a great week meanwhile.

Wow, that must have been a very thrilling and beautiful day for you, Mary! Just looking at these vintage cars makes me feel so nostalgic; what more if I ride with one of these? Oh, I can only imagine your happiness during the days of August 2008! :’>
