Wow! Does this ever look like fun! And wonderful photos as ever, Mary!
Also, I wanted to say thanks for going by Paree! I just started that for fun...and to relive some of our great experiences. Paris is unexplainable and it still takes my breath away!
I have Canon 10 D and 30D and Keith has a 20 D--but many of my pictures on this blog are taken with my smaller camera. Because they are often taken spur of the moment.

With the point and shoot again--no "real" cameras with me.
When were you in Paris?
You do one hell of a job with that point-and-shoot...but we've got three and they are all quite capable of spectacular photography.
As Ken Rockwell (kenrockwell.com) says, it's not the camera, it's the person holding the camera.
I answered your question on the Paree blog...
Have a wonderful day!
I like the control of an SLR better, but you're right, the point and shoots can take very good pictures, and in some cases, they are actually BETTER!
It's all about the person behind the lens! And you're doing fantastically well!
I have a Nikon D300 which is a superb camera...doesn't mean I can take better pictures, but it does mean better pictures are easier...
Lois just got a Nikon D40 which is also a superb camera...and you can get a refurbished (by Nikon) one at Adorama.com for about $375-400!
It's lightweight and easy to handle. Can do everything automatically but it also gives you all the options...
Thanks again Jacob for the vote of confidence.

I do the same thing...if we go out to dinner in the evening, I'll just throw a small camera in my pocket...
They do just fine if you hold 'em steady and have the right setting!
YUP, me too. :-D
Is that one of The Blues Brothers? Cool!
Very nice photos. That was surely a great evening. I don't know what a point and shoot camera is....
Did I forget to tell you that there's something for you on my blog. At least there was at yesterday's post.
Thank you for your kind comments--I am so sorry I missed them!
Why are you UNhappy, Helene?
