The Ford House Muskrat

This muskrat was fairly tame and happily foraging for food along the shores of Lake St. Clair on the Ford House grounds.

Poor little thing. These little animals suffer in the winter.

Happy New Year, Mary!

They do suffer in winter, but this fellow was doing fairly well at the moment. His nervous look was mainly because I'd gotten so close for the picture. Once I backed off he was happily eating.

It is a lovely photo, very national geographic. Also my thanks to you for reading my story and offering your input. I'm grateful for your advice.
Warm regards,
Simone
