Not getting out much

These slides at a local school (On Canyon) have not seen much use, even though the playground gates are standing open--the kids aren't getting out much and either am I. In spite of the sunshine--which we had earlier then it turned grey.

Here is my newest art piece, a water color painting of my friend Scott at Silk Creek. Click imaf to view larger.

I understand the kids, but would be fun to try the slides with the snow...

You certainly churn out beautiful paintings non-stop - very impressive. Don't apologize for staying indoors - who the hell wants to go out in this weather?

Gorgeous flowers below.

I need to go to Detroit to have classes with you (I'd like to make water colors like yours!).

It looks so cold over there. The sun is shining here today.

The snow piles on the slide then falls off? I'm an ignoramus when it comes to snow.

I hope you get some sun soon!

And I like your watercolor of your friend (on the cellphone too! heehee). Must have been cold because of what he's wearing but I love that you chose such bright, cheerful colors for it. Fun and lovely contrast.

It's hard to get out in this weather, I agree. But tomorrow the sun is supposed to shine and I'm hoping to take my camera on a road trip. My husband and I have an errand, and my camera is tagging along, just in case. :)

The portrait you did is wonderful, Mary. I wish I could draw as well as you do!

Once again, I think your photo is spiffy! It actually looks like a beautiful day ... but too cold to go sliding!

The painting is wonderful. What talent(s) you have!

I loved learning about the ice palace. It is easy to see why you aren't getting out much. Good luck on the Fellowship. Let us know!!!

Thank you all for your very kind comments!!!

I didn't go down the slide, VP, because I didn't want to mess up the photo, LOL--AND becasue I was on SKIS.

Marie, I would be happy to show you how I paint, but I am just a beginner!

I actually like getting out. But don't like icy roads.
