This is the median on Lakeshore. Jefferson tuns into Lakeshore when it crosses out of Detroit, but this is just a short ways north of the border. It's very pretty, day and night, BUT dangerous, I think, when turning, because it's blocks your view of oncoming cars in the other lanes.
When I lived over there, I would run down Lochmoor to the Lake, then south and west as far as the War Memorial maybe.... sometimes on medians, sometimes on the shore... I remember some vicious blue jays, though down there. They'd always kamikaze from behind where one couldn't see them approaching.

I walk there now, sometimes. I have some pictures of red-winged blackbirds attack BB, but not blue jays!
