A Phoenix from a monument at Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit. Ironically, it is a large ornate monument for a woman who died and was buried overseas.

Mary Stebbins Taitt said...: Well, most monuments mark where people are actually buried, but this one was very fancy and no one was there. I wonder if there was a nice marker on her overseas grave.
