Autumn at the Village Market

The Village Market is on Mack and only about 3/4 of a block from my house. This is where I walk to shop. I carry my groceries home and it makes me feel continental. It's all decked out for fall now.

Beautiful collection of autumn colors. Nice that you have a neat market so close to home.

Now I know where to go to get my Fall display of pumpkins and squash - to go along with my painting of an Ojibway woman outside my house. Wonderful colors in this photo!

That would be so nice to be able to walk to the market! Our closest is at least 2 miles...with no good places to walk.

I like this photo a lot. Very well composed and the colors, are, well, glorious!

Have a great day!

I just drove by there this afternoon - didn't have quite enough time to make a stop. But I will return and get some of those beautiful squash!

Belles couleurs d'automne, Mary. Do you live in an island? I'm asking because you said you felt continental. (i'm trying to improve my English :-))

Thanks, Jacob, V and Marie!

V: It was fun meeting you. YAY! My second blogger. And close by, too!

Marie: When people here say they "feel continental," they usually mean they feel as if they are living in Europe, although of course WE live on a continent!

Yes, of course I recognized you right away (actually I have seen you around town for years) but it was wonderful just running into you like that. But we still don't have pictures! Let's get some soon.

I got a great selection of squash for my decor (and some superb wine as well.)

Walking to shop is something most Americans don't have an opportunity to do today - nice to be able to slow down and enjoy. The combo of colors, flowers and pumpkins, good photo.

I LOVE walking to the store in Autumn and spring and nice summer days and even in winter most of the time (except when it is too icy). THANKS!
