Inside the Ruins of the Old Belle Isle Zoo




No, we did not vandalize anything, we just looked and took pictures. This whole group of pictures is by BB.

Fascinating. I love shots of urban decay (zoological decay in this case).

Very interesting. It's a pitty that it's not used as a zoo anylonger, but I guess there is a perfectly logical explanation for that.....

No, I don't either--looks like a concentration camp to me. EEEeek! Poor animals. But there is much of this in Detroit.

This is so sad. I was going to say someone's been monkeying around, but that really wouldn't be appropriate, would it?

So, I won't say that. Some people, of course, would applaud the demise of a zoo...

It is sad all the way around. But we do have other Zoos in Detroit.
