Happy anniversary! Glad you had fun. This looks like a very beautiful spot!

It was delightful! And we had it all to ourselves--lots of private uninterrupted time.

THANKS! :-D

Looks perfect to me...a few years ago, I think our 29th anniversary, we spent wading creeks and fishing...I also like to go and Roger can fish or whatever, and me take a lawn chair or blankets and sit/stretch out on a sand or gravel bar and read! Sounds heavenly right now.

Darn, forgot to say Happy Anniversary...and may you have many more.

Is this the Black River up in the Thumb? There is a watershed right up the middle of the Thumb, ending about Bad Axe: Cass River on the west, Black on the east.

If it is, I'll guess where you took this photo...

Thanks so much ROse and Montag for your kind comments and wishes. YAY!

This area on the Black River is slightly north and west of Port Huron (I think).

State Game Area, east of Avoca Michigan, 2 miles west of the Dorsey House and M19, just off 136 in the Beard's Hills ?
