Inside the Conservatory

Inside the Conservatory, by Mary Stebbins Taitt. Looking up, and over. The tropical room and the ferns.

I especially like the second shot. It gives a good feel for the place.

Thanks Erin. It does give you an idea what it's like. Each room is different, but similar. The second one is the fern room and there aren't many flowers in it. But the glass is similar. And the abundance of plants.

I love all of the photos. I have given all my plants for all sorts of reasons but I miss them very much......

Thanks so much Marie! I love plants too. I hope you are able to enjoy ones out and around.

Looking for old vintage photos of Michigan stuff and came across yours posted in a blog. My maiden name is Stebbins! Pretty cool? My Dad is Robert, originally from the Detroit area. His Mom is Madeline Ransom. Just wondering if there are any connections. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi FUn, thanks for your visit.

I went to your blogs but couldn't find a way to contact you.

Stebbins is my 2nd husband's last name, and I continue to use it because I was Stebbins for so long that many people only know me by that name.

He and his family live in Upstate NY. I do not know if they have relatives here. Here in Detroit I mean. My son takes Piano lesson in St. Clair Shores. Are you related to the Ransom of all those wonderful children's books (or does he spell it with an e?))
