THESE PHOTOS WILL ENLARGE WITH ONE CLICK (and not download)
Cranbrook is an educational community in the "Detroit Area"
(Metropolitan Detroit). They have a Science Museum and an Art Museum,
both outstanding, and trails for hiking and great architecture. We
went walking there yesterday in rain, snow and fog. I thought I'd
feature the bridges first, because of the recent bridge theme. LOL!
There are lots of bridges there, but I might get bored with bridges
and revert to normal posting.
I think I have fixed this so you can click the images to view them larger without downloading them. This thanks to Fenix at Bostonscapes. If you want to do it yourself, click here. Hopefully they will be fixing the problem soon.
I would like to give everyone advance notice that I'm starting to have
nightmares about my growing burden of unfinished work, and as a new
year's resolution, I may be relegating blogging to the back burner.
It ends up being a time sink. If so, I will miss you!

"Beautiful park. What sunny nice shots (archival?)" Well, sort of. I compose my posts a few weeks in advance. The park photos were shot three weeks ago, the bridge photos for theme day were shot last week.
BTW, in my previous comment, I thought I was commenting on this post (the bridge in the top pic here is gorgeous).
Thank you! When you got here, Had I fixed the photos and linked to you yet?
Now, if I have time and energy, I can go back and fix all my photos so people can click on them. LOL.
THANKS.
Very nice, The red bridge is perfect in this photo.
Mary, since you are going to take the time to fix all of your photos, be sure to add an "All my photos will enlarge with one click" (or some such notice), in bold font, right above the very first photo (you know, for the people who don't ever bother reading the captions). Yeah, those ones... ;D (I'm thinking that most people, me included, by now have given up and won't even bother trying to enlarge unless they know the pic will enlarge with just one click.
And thank you for the acknowledgment and the appreciation shown. :)
OK, DONE, thanks! :-D
Thanks so much, Dick! :-D
The picturesque bridge (top photo) lightly dusted with snow is eye-catching!
From fall to winter, all in one whack! Thanks for getting out in that and showing us the photos!
Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment so kindly, Kate and Rambling! :-D
We had a nice time, in spite of getting wet and cold.
Glad to see you have cured the new Blogger curse!

I like these bridges as much as the ones in Italy, Mary.
I like the second bottom one again! Must be the screaming out from the fog :) That -h instead of -R fix didn't work for me on Bird Blog :( Blogging does take up a lot of time!
OH I just fixed the whole download thing ... only had the latest post to worry about ;) Thanks! I shouldn't have tried the first time with a migraine ...
I was talking about the screaming 'red' in that first comment also *sigh*
Beautiful photos. I guess in Detroit, your snow comes and goes through the winter while here in North Bay, are snow should be staying until near the end of March.
Love the first pic - glad you found the blogger click-fix.
Thanks for your comment about the ABC posts - well last Wednesday was S so tomorrow will be T and so forth. I came in at K and I think it has been decided that we'll go from Z to A and so forth.
Thanks so much Curly,Annie, Anonymous, North Bay and Ackworth for all your many, varied and interesting comments.
I think they've fixed the blogger issue! YAY! Saves some time!
So Ackworth (are you Denton?) do we go to Z and then A, B, C or Z and then Y, X, etc to A, I'm confused.
Yes, Craig, in Detroit our snow comes and goes, and rarely stays the winter.
I'm so glad you like our bridges, Annie! YAY! :-D
Mary - the ABC Wednesday thing was started by Mrs.Nesbitt -- My Ackworthborn blog has a link to her blog and the other blogs that participate in the project under the ABC graphic.
Everyone does the same letter each week so newcomers would start with current letter. Tomorrow is T and next week is U &c. The idea is only that one posts something that relates to the letter of the week on Wednesdays. Nothing terribly special about it but it adds interest and creates a little community - on other days we do our own thing.
As I said, I joined in when they reached the letter and K and when we get to Z we will start at A again.
I'm not Denton, I'm Gerald and my main other blog is Hyde DP but I use a separate google/blogger ID for that.
Thanks for all the information, Ackworth! I did remember seeing your FACE and reading your story somewhere else, but I got mixed up as to WHERE.
You have a nice friendly face. :-D
