The Rocking Cycle, Michigan State Fair, Detroit

The Rocking Cycle, Michigan State Fair, Detroit. I posted this in response to a post a few days ago by B-Squared at Ft. Lauderdale Daily.

When I went to post it, I got a message that I'd used up my quota of pictures. I deleted some from Picasa albums, but if I have to keep deleting, I may give up blogging entirely--too much work. It took a long time and I haven't time for it.

How interesting. Up until a few years ago, I'd never seen one of these and now they're popping up all over.

Very beautiful. I think the big guy should get a real horse, though! ;-)

Nice shot, Mary.

Hey, don't you dare stop blogging! It's always something! Yesterday all my stats counters reset to zero. I complained and they said it was a temporary problem and they would be reset.

Guess I'd better check!

Have a great weekend.

Hey Jacob, he doesn't have a horse, but I think he has four real motorcycles--which is why I refer to him as "Biker Buddy." (And why I took this picture, originally--I didn't know B-squared was going to post one.

This one obviously won a prize--it is VERY well-done.

I will be in trouble if I have to start deleting the pictures in my blogs in order to post new ones.

Hi again. I don't know why in the world you'd get such a message. Blogger has no quota re: photos that I know of. What does Picassa (sp?) have to do with anything?

Do you post the same photos of Picassa? Maybe Picassa's the problem.

I wish I could help more but I'm not very up on all the ins and outs of blogging per se.

And a beautiful rocker it is, too. A rocking horse does seem rather passe. Perhaps the next big thing might be a NASCAR rocker. Hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Sorry to hear you've run out of space!

Jacob - when you post a pic to Blogger using their built in picture upload ferature the pic actually gets put into a Picasa.com photo album and it only gives you 1024 MB of space. That is unless you upgrade for $$/year. The cheapest is $20/year for 10 GB.

That's why I downsize all my pics to 800x600 or 1024x768 before I post them. But yes, that takes time too.

Keep up the good work Mary!

Where the hell have I been? I didn't know that! But I've never had a problem, although I resize most of my photos to 725px on the longest side.

And so far as I know my counters have not reset! Ugh!

Here's a link to a help screen. Just rememeber if you delete from Picasa it in turn will delete the pic from the blog!!! Also, if you are editing a blog post and delete an uploaded picture using the delete key and republish your blog post... the pic doesn't delete from Picasa! Very annoying.

Thank you all for your helpful comments and links (Eric).

I think I could post pictures from FLICKR, but my FLICKR account is also pretty full.

I've been resizing most of my pix, and I could go back and resize some of the older ones, but what a pain! I thought I might go to the end and start deleting them at the bottom of the blog. (I deleted a bunch yesterday, so I won't have to worry for a little while.)

Thanks again for your help!!

I never pay attention to the counters any more. I have a counter on one of my blogs that sends a weekly report and for the last couple of months, it always says 00000 but I get comments, so I know thats @#$*$#!^. I've just given up on it.
