We found this moth on the bathroom window at the Pinery in the morning (last year). I think it might be a cecropia--does anyone know? Ah, Rose, thank you, it is a Polyphemus Moth.
We are leaving shortly for our yearly memorial day trip. I will not be online while gone--but may post ahead if I have time and will try to catch up commenting when I return. No guarantees on either count.

Mary, this is not a cecropia moth, but a Polyphemus moth...google that name and then click images...they are gorgeous.
I meant to add that that is what I think it is at least...
