Postcard from Ryder Park, DeWitt, NY

Today we did what we always do--walked. It snowed off and on and then
the sun came out and it melted and then it snowed some more. Now
there is probably three inches of snow on the ground. This is at
Ryder Park where there is a butterfly garden and a trail along the
canal. This is the canal aqueduct where the canal went over the
creek.

DeWitt is a suburb of Syracuse where we are staying. I have very
limited internet access. Cliick images to view larger.

Lovely photos. We've just had snow here, too, it's the first of the season. Is this the first snow for you, too?

OH BRRRR I have no concept of how cold it is there. We are close to 30 degrees celsisus at the moment and swimming in pools! I love the third shot, it's dramatic!

ugh....being in Minnesota, I see the snow is not far from here. Though it does make for some dang nice photos.

Thank you all for some wonderful comments. I've been away and have fallen behind and it will take a while to get caught up!

The canal photo is great. Is the canal still used?

This branch of the canal is no longer used but there are still active canals in the area that are very interesting.
