Formosan Deer on Belle Isle

These are from 2003, when the Formosa Deer were free on Belle Isle. The first is a photo taken with a normal (short, not telephoto) lens. They were pretty tame. The second is a painting made (partly) from a photo. (I think my technique has improved since then.) Click images to view larger. (Belle Isle is part of Detroit and near the city center). We got fresh snow again last night.
