We're having a winter storm and they are predicting up to 14 inches of snow today. Biker Buddy was going to work on my car today, but he needs to lay on the ground under the car, so he probably won't be able to. Christmas shopping will have to be postponed. But it is kind of
pretty.

The houses on either side of us are quite close. The window on the east is nearly fully covered with snow. Our neighbors next door are out shoveling, but Biker Buddy is making us a nice big breakfast. We are basking in warmth inside. We'll shovel later.

I remember waking up as a kid and finding show outside like that. We would jump up and down and yell no school then go out and play. I miss the big snows and being a child.

Nice pictures. I particularly liked the view out your back windows, seeing the glass panels. How's your new computer?? Lucky girl! You must have been awfully nice this year!

We rarely get the big snows we used to get when I was a kid, but this may be one of them. Piano Boy may not be so lucky though, it is all comes today, they may have the roads cleared by tomorrow--he's a walker anyway. I LOVED snow days as a kid! :-D

My new computer is a Mac and I am a PC user and I am on my PC right now because I am CLUELESS as to how to use the mac so it is much easier to keep using the PC--I do want to switch over.

Maybe I was awfully naughty and Santa liked it that way, LOL!

Wow! I am really hoping we get some decent snow this year in London, last February we had a good one and EVERYBODY bunked off work and school to go sledging (we so rarely get a decent fall of snow here) 14 inches of snow is beyond my wildest dreams. Your pictures are very beautiful.

WOW! Thanks, Bird in the Meadow, what a cool name you have! I love it.

I took those pictures early this morning and it's been snowing ever since so now we have twice as much and it's still snowing.

Ohhhh, Mary... What a dump of snow we've got. I got out to church but can't gety into the driveway now! Off with my Sunday best and on with my snow digging clothes!!

Thanks for posting on my blog. Yes, Gyp is a border collie but alas, I don't have him now. He's up at my sister's on 87 acres having a great time! My older dog is a border collie and I wanted another to keep him company but just after this, my life changed a bit and the puppy didn't fit into the new plans. ;)

More late...

I wish I had a border collie and 87 acres. It's still snowing like mad here. STAY safe. I'm going out to dig shortly, too!

My older border collie is 12 and simply amazing. He was my late husband's dog and still has his few minutes of "quite time" when we go to the grave--and then he sees a squirrel or something else to chase. But he simply lies on top of the grave with his nose on the ground each time we go.

Thanks for coming to visit Mary! I had a quick peek at your blog and I am looking forward to reading more, the images are lovely and I like what you have to say about the deer among other things. I hope the snow doesn't get too bad, to me it might sound exciting but it also seems like a lot to be living with! Hope you stay warm cosy and safe.

Thanks, it's still snowing pretty hard! I'm going out to shovel soon.

Driving is dangerous. It's pretty. I don't mind the cold. Usually.

OH, how sad, you must both miss him so! :-(

When I lived up north and we had snows like that we used to say, "Today we will shovel often". We tried to keep up with the snow so it wouldn't weigh us down.

Best wishes. It's beautiful but do take your time and be careful about lifting that shovel over and over.

We got a foot of snow! That's the official word, anyway. It's settled a little, but it also drifted deeper in some places, and it is fairly heavy!

Thanks for the kind words! :-D
