Kenisington--the Thaw continues

Last night I had an opportunity to play with the tripod I got for
Christmas. After we left the motorcycle show, we went to Kensington
Metropark, which is a little north and west of Detroit and part of the
Metro Detroit area park system. It was essentially pitch black
dark--very dark, and I took long time exposures. These look like day,
but it was not. It was also very very foggy, so the pictures are not
accurate of either light conditions or fog conditions (it was much
foggier than it looks here.) The fog was the result of warm weather
interacting with melting snow. The pictures were taken at one of the
beaches. Click images to view larger.

I apologize for being behind on commenting, but I just can't keep up.
Once I get my ducks lined up, I may not be blogging every day.

Yup, it's true though--tehy were taken at night with a tripod and a LONG exposure. Biker Buddy had to hold VERY still.

I can hardly believe this is a BEACH!!!!

Thanks so much Team Splashi, Neva and Anonymous!

The actual beach with sand is slightly to the left of the picture and there were some abandoned lifeguard chairs etc. But since I'd recently posted one of those, I took the picnic area associated with the beach.

We thought it was warm, because it had been 19 and then was up to maybe 37 which was 20 degrees warmer.

Great shots, hard to believe it's dark. The Kensington golf course is a great place to see deer this time of year, but not in the fog!

Thank you both. :-D I appreciate your kindness.

It was actually too dark to see deer! LOL! Seriously!
