Postcard from Syracuse, Day 2: Salt Museum

On Sunday, June 29, we went to the Salt Museum in Liverpool, NY (a suburb of Syracuse, on Onondaga Lake). We learned about the salt industry in Syracuse and Liverpool.

I am back-posting this and there are three other back-posted posts from this trip, so far, posted earlier.

We went to at least one and sometimes more than one every day that we were there.

Salt has an incredibly interesting history, the world over. Mark Kurlansky’s Salt: A World History is well worth a look.

I happen to love museums too, and am glad to hear that you’ve got a good selection for your holiday.
