The Last of the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House Tour

The Ford House Tour is winding down. Here is a picnic basket used by
the Fords for picnicking, supposedly the real original one--note the
missing pieces. The staircase is for Jacob--it's on the back of the
gatehouse. I don't know where it goes, but I'm curious!

Next time I'm in Michigan, I'll have to visit the Ford House. Looks like it's a great tour.

I sure like the views you have shown of this place....it is a place to keep in mind if I am ever that way again.

Thank you, Mary. The staircase is gorgeous...yes, I wonder where it leads. What treasures are behind that door?

I like the way the Fords picnicked in style.

At the same time, who wants to clean all that stuff after a picnic?

I like the picnic basket, too, which is why I took it.

The tour is inexpensive and really worth it, I think. Very interesting.

Of course, Jacob, the Fords had servants to clean up the picnic stuff.
