Elmwood Cemetery Statue, Pond and Chapel

Taken yesterday, Sunday, at Elmwood Cemetery and pond. Elmwood Cemetery is located off St. Elliot off Jefferson near downtown Detroit and is very old and interesting. The second photo is the grillwork on an old mausoleum. With a shadow of the grillwork on the wall they built to keep out the grave robbers.

See a nice shot of Nashua Creek from yesterday and the pictures I will be showing in Syracuse.

Très jolies photos, Mary. What is shown in the second photo?

OH, Marie, I meant to write that, thanks for reminding me, it's the grillwork on the door to an old mausoleum. I added it above. Thanks!

Don't know why I am so behind in posts ... cemetery photographs are always important to photograph because they can change over time with headstones disappearing etc. I love the lighting in these shots ... the lighting there seems soft and of course surrounding by yellows and oranges is enlightening :)

I like the second picture. It is so beautifully framed. And the first one is nice.

Beautiful photos. I really like the first photo with the statue and the colour of the leaves in the background.
