Here today, Gone tomorrow

I am here in Detroit today, but leaving tomorrow morning for Syracuse,
NY where I have an exhibition of my art opening at the Westcott Community Gallery. While I am there, I may not be able to get on-line, or to blog or comment. If I can get on, I may send a postcard or two, but I don't know what the situation will be. I will return to Detroit Monday.

While in Hamilton, we visited the Royal Botanical Gardens and really enjoyed them. These four pictures were taken here in Detroit at Belle Isle's conservatory. We have one of the largest municipal orchid collections in the country. While these are recent photos, the pond has now been drained for the winter.

I am behind on my commenting because we've been traveling so much. I apologize. Click images to view larger.

Great photos. Good luck in Syracuse.

Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog. Looks like you had lots of fun in Hamilton even if there wasn't enough water in the creeks. As for me, I had a real fun time in the airplane (I actually wasn't taking pictures with the blog in mind but just for my personal enjoyment but then decided to share).

Thanks Anonymous! :-D Orchids are hard to photograph well. At least I find them so.

Quelles belles photos, Mary !

Thanks so much Joy, Lynette and Marie! Marie, I could read your French. Yay. I can read it better than I can write it.

Merci beaucoup. Je suis heureux de pouvoir lire vos mots. (??) Je n'écris pas comme moi lis. (???)

I love orchids too! So lovely and delicate.
