7/9/08 We wandered around on the huge dunes between Crystal Lake and
Lake Michigan. It's hard to convey the impressive size of them.

Mary Stebbins Taitt said...: These sand dunes are associated with the lake, rather than being "desert" sand dunes, but the conditions on the dunes are similar to a desert. I'm not sure the size exactly, but you could walk around the entire thing in an afternoon, probably. A long afternoon.; July 22, 2008 at 12:47 PM
