Cavalry Baptist Church, another view

We went back to Elmwood Cemetery in part to recapture the name of this church, which we'd lost. So here it is, directly from one of their own signs.

The Calvary Baptist Church is in the entrance to Elmwood Cemetery.

Yesterday I received an award from Asta. I'm honored and happy that she thought of me. YAY! Thank you so much Asta!

Please visit Asta at her fantastic blog.
Like many awards, this has some rules:
1) Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link.
2) Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.
I will of course follow the instruction, however, I will take a one blog or person at a time starting out with Jacob and Lois of Ocala Daily. They have numerous blogs, all featuring well-done photography, and have been very helpful to me. I hope to name a new blog or person regularly for a while.

Has to be one of the more unusual churches I have ever seen. Any shots of the inside? I wonder what the architectural style is called?

Greetings, B. I have never been inside, though I've been outside many times. I am curious about the inside.

Thank you again Asta for the award and for your kind comment.

That's incredible. Thanks for the info, Mary, and the photo! As B Squared says, "unusual." Very! Looks like a rollerdome!

And thank you very much for the award!!! You're too sweet.

Interesting, we just received this award the other day, but I'm going to make a note of your kindness on tomorrow's blog and add you name to the sidebar!

Have a wonderful day, my friend, and keep those great photos coming!

Well, you deserve it! I changed the arward a little for tomorrow's post and may change it again--if you want to wait, you can get the updated version and have a different one.

It's not as big as it looks in the picture (but it is big). I took it with a fairly wide angle lense lying on the grass in order to crop out some building behind it that were distracting.
