Tim Burke at Heidelberg

Tim Burke, like Tyree Guyton, lives at the Heidelberg project. Here are two pieces of Tim Burke's work artwork taken on Heidelberg Street in Detroit. The first one shows some hedge bindweed aka wild morning glory growing into one of his exhibits. The second is a detail of one of his outdoor paintings, and the third is his signature on the same painting. If you click on the links of the labels below (on the lower right) below, you can learn more about Tim Burke and the Heidelberg project.

Hmm...very interesting. The first photo is quite nice - you got the exposure and colors perfectly!

The second...well, it's a great photo of a .... a painting. Stark, startlingly colorful, scary...reminds me of some Holocaust photos I've seen...

Fascinating post, Mary!

Thanks, Jacob. It's actually a detail of a painting--I chose not to do the whole thing. I wanted to make that part of it as large as possible. I put the other one first in part because someone might claim there's not much skill in photographing a painting.

Thanks so much Chriss and B. I really appreciate your kindness.

You cannot do justice to Tim Burke's work in a single flat picture.
