The DIA at Dusk

Here are some shots of the front of the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) at dusk. It seems that so often, we are wandering around at dusk. These were taken with a tiny point and shoot and with no tripod (hand held) and it was pretty dark.

Isn't it strange, some of my best shots are with the "Point and Shoot." Makes me wonder why I spent all that money on the big camera. Nice results! I love that time of day to shoot.

Ha ha, B, I've had that same thought sometimes.

Of course, for macro photography of small subjects, a better camera does work better, although the point and shoot does great macros of larger subjects.

Pretty darn good little point-and-shoot! Dontcha just love dusk pictures?

Hey, you could have used the reclining gentleman for a di-pod!

By the by...got to thinking...were you concerned about your writing going too far to the right on your blog?

Might try changing the Main Wrapper wide to 750...'course I think you'll then have to change that s400 in the post html to 750 also, rather than 800.

I'm going to try this on one of my blogs later...just too busy, now...

If you do try it let me know...

And have a great weekend.

I love the glow of light in that first picture.

Okay, Mary...

I set up Test Blog II (http://testblog24u.blogspot.com) with the Black Minima template...

The only change in the template html was Main Wrapper from 800px to 750px.

I also discovered that in the blog post html, you must change the s400 to s800...it won't work if you change that to s750!

I think this would also work with your dots template.

If so, pass the word to Marie, OK?

Let me know - :-))

Good luck.

Okay. I went to my Cedar Key blog and made that one change and it appears to have worked perfectly...the text is aligned neatly under the photo.

Yeah!

I'm baaaack! Just wanted to let you know I sent a note to Marie...hopefully that will solve her problem!

You did a nice job capturing these. The water looks especially nice in this light.

Thank you Rose and Tapir girl for your visit and kind comments, and thank you Jacob for your kind comments and help with the blog template. I was away yesterday at the Rolandale Retreat house and FINISHED the first (ROUGH) draft of the children's novel I've been working on. (YAY!) But I did not get a chance to play with my template yet. But I am eager to try it. THANK YOU!!!!

The DIA is pretty spectacular.

We went to the Eleanor and Edsel Ford House today and that was splendid.

By the way, I did change the main wrapper to 750. Tomorrow I need to experiment and see how it works with single large pictures.
