Crocuses

We don't have crocuses at our house, but some of our neighbors do.
Spring may actually COME!

Busy busy busy!

Yardwork at home and at the cottage! Here, BB is cutting back an old lilac.

We both did a lot of work at the cottage. I finally hung a shower
curtain--harder than it may seem balanced ont he sides of the tub! I
cleaned out a huge brush pile the previous residents had left behind.

Yesterday was my granddaughter Littlest's second birthday. And the
winter aconites finally opened all the way--and then it snowed--hard
and thick--and stuck. Didn't get any pix of the snow--too busy
partying. All day!

Aspen Trail at Balduck, sunset

There are no Aspen, and no trail starting at this point. There IS a
trail through the muddy woods nearby.

Sunset at Pier Park

No clouds. Just orange slips, still empty of any boats.

We're on the sunrise side of the lake.

More Artfest

Here are some of my favorites from the South Artfest. The first one is by Kelsey Horn, but I neglected to get the names on the others--if you know, let me know and I will post them.

The last shot is a sparrow in the birdbath taken through the kitchen window and screen! You can tell spring is coming because the birdbath is NOT frozen solid.

Artfest South

I volunteered yesterday at South High School's Artfest. It's a lovely
building and Cleminson Hall, where is was held, is a lovely room. The
student work was impressive. I will probably show a few more
(close-ups) tomorrow.

I was away all day and last night and this morning at a sleep study in
Macomb and have a bunch of catching up to do.

St. John's Hospital, Lake St. Clair

I walked to St. John's Hospital yesterday from the Cottage. There are
three views, front, ambulance entrace, and part of the mall attached
to the hospital. The mall contains a blockbuster video, a bakery,
Border's Books and various other stores. Also included are a view of
lake St. Clair this morning when I drove PB to school after his piano
lesson and signs of spring: winter aconites and tulips. We also have
three buds on the Christmas Rose now.

A sign of spring!

You can tell it's spring when the Village Market puts produce out of
the sidewalk! YAY! Spring!

A walk around the block

While PB is having his piano theory lesson.

The second one is lake st. Clair. The chiars are out but the stairs
aren't down in the watter yet.

Spring

The ice is breaking up in the slips at Pier Park. And there are
tulips at the market.

Another installation

Cranbrook art installation--or--is it a science installation? It looks like an molecule to me. Looks like summer--but it's March!

Sorry I'm behind again. Rolandale and doctor appointments etc.
