Windmill Pointe

Fox Creek divides Detroit from Grosse Pointe Park. Windmill Point is
the point at which Fox Creek empties into the convergency of Lake Ste.
Claire and The Detroit River. There is a park on both sides of Fox
Creek. On the Detroit side, there is a Light, and fishing. You can
watch the big boats go by. The park is open to the public. On the
Grosse pointe Park side, the park is fenced and you have to have a
park pass to get in. I got in only because there was an event going
on--a poetry reading for Marick Press. It was my first time ever.
There is a marina. Windmill Pointe Park is surrounded by huge
mansions. The two shown here are single family homes.

Many French Street names in both Detroit and Grosse Pointe.

Thanks, Marie.

I think it was settled by French people.
