The houses in Detroit vary enormously in size and structure. Many are made of brick, in part because of the fires associated with the riots. Currently, many boast flowering trees. (This is not our house, but a house nearby.)
A City Photoblog about the city of Detroit. All photos, art and writing by Mary Stebbins Taitt unless otherwise noted.

Simple and elegant!
I don't know why, but houses with really steep peaks as this one always fascinate me....and I love that tree!

Thank you all very much.
I've been photographing doors and houses and was going to do a series, but I've gotten distracted.
And I've been very busy, for which I apologize.
