Dark Angel, Elmwood Cemetery, Detroit, MI, by Mary Stebbins Taitt.

Eastern Market

Marie posted market shots on her Montpellier Cityblog, so here are some from Eastern Market, a huge farmer's market near downtown Detroit. They sell fruits and vegetables, flowers, honey, bread and so on. It's usually bustling, but I was there at the end of the day and it was rainy and windy and people were leaving early.

More Pewabic Pottery

This abandoned building is located on Jefferson in Detroit (not far from Pewabic Pottery). Like many buildings in Detroit, from the simple to the ornate, it is decorated with Pewabic Pottery tiles.
