A Phoenix from a monument at Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit. Ironically, it is a large ornate monument for a woman who died and was buried overseas.

Why ironically?
Phenix without the o was the name of my American husband.
Maybe I will meet him again in the afterlife.....
Well, most monuments mark where people are actually buried, but this one was very fancy and no one was there. I wonder if there was a nice marker on her overseas grave.
Interesting, the name Phenix, I wonder if it is from the same root--would you like to see him again later?
