Mud Wallows

Renaissance Ladies sometimes seen to fall into the mud wallows or be attacked by someone else who fell in.

I am leaving TODAY for Harbor Springs for a writing Retreat (Springfed) and will not be back until next week. Last time I was there, they kept us pretty busy and the internet access was spotty and limited. SO I may not be online. I have scheduled posts for my absence and if you comment, I will make every effort to get back when I return next week.

Seven Lakes State Park revisted

Just a few more pix from Seven Lakes State Park. That will be all until our next visit. Sorry about the white sky! I'd have stormy or blue if I were in charge.

Seven Lakes State Park: the first beginning of Fall

It was out first visit ever to Seven Lakes State Park, just north of Detroit, but I certainly hope it will NOT be our last. We loved the hiking trails, which traced the edges of the lakes and climbed up narrow isthmuses between them, over hill and dale with lovely vistas at ever turn. A must visit for those who like to walk in lovely woodland settings. We also enjoyed a display of the first real fall color.

Children of the Renaissance

We didn't take many pictures of children because we worry parents won't like you pointing your camera at their kids. Keith (BB) took the first one (I cropped and fiddled with it a little). I took the second. There were lots of kids there and lots of special entertainment for children.

All throughout the Renaissance Festival, people were hawking their wares. It was fun to hear them calling.

St. Paul Catholic Church

This is St. Paul Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Farms just north of Detroit. It's on Lakeshore, which becomes Jefferson in Detroit, right on Lake St. Clair. Note that it was designed by Detroit architect Harry J. Rill.
