Nashua Creek, Belle Isle

Four Shots from Nashua Creek on Belle Isle. This is the same creek I earlier referred to as the great grey-green greasy Limpopo all hung about with Fever Trees. Biker Buddy and I often walk here; there are trails along both sides. It is right int he center of Belle Isle, which is a Detroit City Park in the center of the river between Detroit and Windsor Ontario Canada. In some of these pictures, you can get a hint of the grey aspect of the water. It was rainy and windy, but you takes what you gets. I like int he third picture how you can see the leaves moving down the creek.

I really like the 3rd photo (the one with the leaves floating in the creek).

Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog. You might not have cranberry bogs in Detroit but from your photos it appears that you have quite a few more natural areas than one thinks Detroit would have. I really enjoy your great photos of Detroit.

Thanks so much, Craig! AS far as I'm concerned, Belle Isle is the jewel of Detroit in the Nature Department! It's a very large park within the city limits.

Great photos! I agree with northbay, that third shot with the leaves in motion is fantastic.

Gorgeous shots, Mary. I saw them first, very briefly, this morning. Now I had more time to really appreciate them. Beautiful.

Nashua Creek... I'll think of you next time I visit one of our favorite parks, the Mine Falls Park, Nashua River Trail, Nashua, NH, about 40 miles north of here. :)

That is one red bridge! All of the photos are nice...I don't remember Belle Island looking like it is so remote. I met a couple this summer that live on their boat at Belle Island all summer....what a hoot that must be.

Third photograph is my favourite also, but like the second one - actually love them all!

I'm like you, I'll take beauty where ever I can find it. And, I'm sure [judging by these photos] you have found the best way to show us Detroit's beauty. Well done!
