Tri-Centennial Lighthouse

1)With Bloblo Boat
2)Looking up from the bottom.

This lighthouse is located at Tri-Centennial State Park in Downtown Detroit, an urban state park. It is a replica of one located at Tawas State Park. See the post from Sunday to learn more about the Boblo Boat.

Beautiful photo! I think I like this shot of the boat & lighthouse the best! I can almost see & hear the passengers getting ready to board in years past!

Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.

The first photo is wonderful!

(BTW, when you say the "badge," are you referring to the CityDailyPhotoBlog button and search widget that replaces the old blogroll? If so, click here to get the instructions written by one of the site's developers.

Thanks so much North Bay, Fenix and Marie for your visits and kind and interesting comments and Fenix, thank you for your continuing help! Mary :-D

I don't know though if that was what I am looking for--very confusing.

The "badge" is that thing everyone but me seems to have that says Cityblog and is rectangular and links to the Cityblog site.

My pleasure, Mary.

Yes, that's the "badge" :) and to get it you have to add the code to your template, just like Igor explains on the page I linked to earlier. I know it can sound a bit confusing when you read all that mambo jumbo. If you don't understand something, post a message to the forum, in the same thread, just below those instructions and, hopefully, Igor will come to your rescue. ;)

How funny that they built a replica instead of an original! I used to frequent Tawas City, but never went to the State Park. It couldn't compete with Negwegon.

Thanks again, Fenix. (Cool name!) :-D I will try to get it added today!

Thank thanks Berrybird for your visit and comment. :-D

Yeah, that is sort of weird, isn't it? Dunno why they did that.

I love lighthouses, but the fact that this one is only a replica removes some of the appeal. The photos are great though. :-)
