Postcard from WhiteHall, Moon over the WhiteHall Tannery

Taken the night before final demolition, I thought this scene of the ghostly (and now entirely gone) WhiteHall Tannery was a good Halloween Image. It is very grainy because it was taken at an ISO of 1600, which I like in this particular instance. There were kids inside and they told me how to get in. Maybe I will share those images another time. WhiteHall is located about 200 miles north and West of Detroit. I was there twice, delivering and picking Piano Boy up from Blue Lake Music Camp. Really nice composition - you must have a good telephoto lens. I hope it is a safe night in Detroit, with its sad history of Devil's Night gunfire and arson. I hear the police are really cracking down on that stuff.

Thanks so much Kate, Strange Tastes, Isabella, Anonymous and Dick for your very kind and fun comments.

Strange Tastes, we wandered about outside among the revelers and never felt unsafe for a moment. Luckily. Halloween here does seem very primitive and pagan!
