Belle Isle Conservatory

Belle Isle Conservatory. This is a wonderful place to visit if you like orchids, flowers, cacti, etc. The building itself is lovely.

Oh I am sure it must be wonderful. We have had a "serre tropicale" (tropical greenhouse) in Montpellier since the end of June but I have not had the time to visit it yet. Anyway it is forbidden to take photos inside.....

Have a nice day, Mary.

I wonder why it is forbidden to take photos in the greenhouse? This one is FREE, wonderful, and you can take all the photos you want.

Actually it is not a simple greenhouse. It is "une serre amazonienne" with a lot of wild life from the Amazon. The entrance fee is 5 euros. Maybe the flashes of the cameras would disturb the little animals.

Ah, yes, I am sure that is probably true! But not all cameras use flashes. Maybe one could get a permit, for a price. If one did not sue a flash? Sounds interesting and fun.
