Palm Sunday Hike at Detroit Metrobeach (And Happy St. Paddy!)

Yesterday we took an hour-long walk (we walked an hour but were there looking at owls etc for several hours) at the Huron-Clinton Metrobeach nature center. I took LOTS of pictures. These are just a few. It was dark and cloudy most of the time we were there, and snowed. Right near the end, the sun came out and we saw 4 deer.

We saw three owls, with the help of a volunteer owl watcher. We'd seen the obvious one, on her nest in an old tub. But there were two others we'd heard about and had't been able to find. We saw them through a spotting scope but our lenses weren't long enough to capture the owls. Too bad, they were lovely.

As always, click pix to view larger. For more pix from this walk, click here.

Happy St. Patrick's Day. For my card, click here.

Some good winter photos there. I managed to take a photo of Canadian Geese at a nearby lake yesterday.
