That must've caused some reaction! (He wants a million dollars for his house).

It's a little teeny tiny house, but it's a giant piece of art and besides, he lives there and prolly isn't eager to leave.

Wow. I can imagine that did cause a ruckus. You captured it nicely.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Okay, I've visiting Detroit for the first time in a week and a half. Is this what I'm going to get?

By the way, Mary, I never sent you a follow up email. We like artsy stuff, museums, sculpture gardens, botanical gardens, and also interesting off beat neighborhoods. Email me if you have any specific advice.

Artistic freedom of expression can cause controversy as well as open eyes. Wonder which will be the result of this man's efforts?

Mary, you seem to have a good pulse on the art community in Detroit! I replied to your comment at http://wassenaardailyphoto.blogspot.com/2007/10/wild-west-wassenaar.html .

Thank you all for your comments. I wasn't able to comment yesterday and don't have much time today, hope I can get caught up.

I think free speech is essential, as is divergent viewpoints and dialogue. Art is essential to a healthy culture.
